A little fun never hurt anybody

Morning soon came to Beacon in a rather calm way, with the sunlight entering smoothly in team RWBY's kitchen, where Y/N was peacefully sleeping in

Once the light reached his eyes, he opened them slowly and got up, yawning and stretching in the process

Y/N (In mind): Right...Morning time

His scroll activated and from it emerged Vinaya, his trustworthy assistant

Vinaya: Good morning Y/N, did you slept well?- He turned his gaze towards the scroll and smiled at it

Y/N: Oh, hi Vi, yeah and what about you?

Vinaya: I am fully recharged, thank you for asking- She answered in a happy tone and they shared a laugh briefly

Vinaya: You should go check on your team before heading to the Headmaster's Office, he would like to have a word with you

Y/N: *sigh* guess you're right- He got up from the couch, grabbed his scroll and went to the door ready to leave the dorm, but something came to mind

He turned around and sneaked quickly into the bedroom and gave Yang a peck on the forehead, earning a smile from the still asleep blonde.

Y/N (IN mind): Morning, Yang

He got outside the dorm successfully and stretched a little more

Y/N: Alright, let's go start the day

He made his way to his dorm and when he opened the door, he found Moss already up and trying to wake Elise as well, but failing miserably

Moss: Oh thank Oum you're here, boss! Where have you been!?

Y/N: I'll tell you later, what's the problem?

Moss: Elise doesn't want to wake up! And you know she's usually the first!

Y/N: True, let me check it out- He entered the dorm and briefly turned his gaze towards his friend- You can go get something to eat

Moss: Yeah! Thanks, boss!- He cheered and rushed out of the dorm

Y/N (In mind): Someone's hungry- He snickered and then walked towards the other room and found the brunette girl lying on her bed

He walked towards his teammate's bed, sitting on the end of it

Y/N: Hi Elise, you okay?- He got a groan in response

Y/N: Rough night?

Elise: You have no idea

Y/N: Actually, I do have an idea- She then rose her head and with surprise in her wine-colored eyes

Elise: Y-You do?

Y/N: Yes, back in Mistral I used to hang out with some friends every now and then for fun and oh boy, did the nights got active- While the young man laughed at his own memories, Elise calmed down again and sighed in relief

Elise: Ha ha...Yeah, that's it- She faked laughter nervously, following the flow

Y/N: Alright, wait here- He stood up and walked to the kitchen, much to her surprise

Elise: W-What are you doing?- She got no response, just a bunch of random noises and her leader soon came back with a drink in his hand

Y/N: Here, drink this. It should help you out with whatever may hurt you

She blushed slightly and looked at the drink and then at Y/N, still surprised at the boy's hospitality

Y/N: I know it looks suspicious but trust me, it helps- He smiled at her after saying that

Elise: ... Alright- She grabbed it and took a sip from it, delight could be seen from her when she did so

Elise: This tastes really good! what is it?

Y/N: Family recipe, but I'm glad you liked it- He looked at his scroll and saw the time, sighing, he got up

Elise: Is...Something wrong?

Y/N: Nah, I'll go deal with the consequences of my own nightly getaways, anyway, I'll give you some space to change

Elise: Thanks

Y/N: No problem...Oh, and try not to party too hard, we still have a school to attend to, you know?

She nodded with a smile and then he closed the door, leaving her alone

Her expression turned into a conflicted one as she put the drink on the table next to her bed and got up. She slept wearing a gray sports top and shorts, leaving her stomach visible, but that was the inconvenient part: She was stabbed last night on the sides, leaving the wound visible

Elise: *sigh* I don't know how will I explain this...Wait a second, this drink actually killed the pain a little...Anyway, the sooner this ends, the better

She began changing clothes but the young man's actions were still on her mind

Elise (In mind): Is he kind by default or something like that? Why would he? It is so confusing!...

She then looked at one of her hidden daggers, still covered in blood

Elise (In mind): If he only knew why I'm here for, he wouldn't be so kind.

But then, her scroll activated, she picked it up and answered

Elise: Hello?...What?  Do you want me to- ...Oh, I see. It shall be done, sir

After that brief call, she looked at a photo of team T/N when they were assembled for the first time. They all looked happy, with hope in their eyes, even her 

 Elise: *Sigh* Goddamn it Y/N...

Why do you have to make it so difficult?

Ozpin's Office

Ozpin: Good morning Mr. L/N, please have a sit

Y/N: Thank you, sir.

Ozpin: Before we start, I want to formally introduce you to my associate here, since you two didn't have a chance last night. He is Grimm Valkyrie, he fought in the great war, a veteran of it to be precise. He recently came back from a mission, that's why you just met him

Y/N: Oh, I see...Wait, is he related to Nora??

Ozpin: Now that you mention it, he is

Grimm: What!?

Glynda: I thought I told you that already Grimm, you have a granddaughter, named Nora Valkyrie

Grimm: I HAVE A GRANDCHILD!? THIS IS WONDERFUL!. I MUST SEE HER!- He shouted as he ran out of the place

Ozpin facepalmed and then looked at the young student- As you can see, he has missed a lot of the present days

Y/N: I noticed...So, you wanted to talk to us about last night's incident, right?

Ozpin: Correct

Y/N: Then why am I the only one here?

Glynda: Because Ms. Belladonna and Ms. Schnee have already been interviewed

Y/N: Oh

Ozpin: So Y/N, I want to hear the complete story from you, starting from when you lost your semblance

Y/N: *Sigh*: Yes, sir

28 minutes later

Y/N: And then we ran from the exploding building but Grimm blocked our way and started attacking us despite the many attempts for us to avoid it

His gaze returned towards the Headmaster and Glynda, who was taking notes from what he explained

Ozpin: I see...- He stood up and walked towards the window, facing it for a moment and then turning back to face the student

Ozpin: Well, you certainly have come across a lot of...Unusual enemies and the fact that you have been able to survive each time is something not many people achieve, young man

Y/N just remained silent, wondering about the threat that his previous foes actually possess

Ozpin: Thank you for your time, try to rest now

Y/N: I will, sir

Then, a voice was heard through Ozpin's communicator

Grimm: Ozpin, may I have the child come with me for a minute? I need him here!

Ozpin: *Sigh* Y/N, would you mind showing Grimm where Ms. Valkyrie is?

Y/N: Uhh...Sure?

They soon finished talking and the young man used the elevator back to his dorm, thinking along the way

Y/N (In mind): Man, this day just started!... Calm down, maybe this day just started in a hurry, right?

Crimson: No, I'm pretty sure it IS a bad day- The male turned around to see his distorted self, yet again

Y/N: Right, I forgot you exist

Crimson: You won't get rid of me, just as you just help anyone to compensate your previous mistakes

Y/N: Oh shut up!

Crimson: No, YOU shut up!

Y/N: Just leave me alone!- He shouted and just in that instant, he heard the elevator's door open to reveal a confused Grimm

Grimm: Are you okay, boy?- The student gulped and then began to laugh nervously

Y/N: Y-Yeah

Grimm: Are you sure?

Y/N: Let's just go find Nora

They kept walking down the hallways, the boy was trying to concentrate while the Huntsman kept talking excitedly until they bumped into a certain blonde

Jaune: Oh hey Y/N, who's that?

Grimm: Who is this little shrimp!?

Y/N: Calm down Grimm, this is Jaune Arc, he is my friend AND Nora's team leader, so he deserves some respect

Jaune: Wow. Thanks, man-His friend nodded in response

Y/N: Anyway, where is she?

Jaune: Right here, in the dining hall- He pointed at it and the Huntsman ran inside the place, still shouting nonsense

Y/N:...Really testing my patience, Grimm

Jaune: Dude, who is this guy?

Y/N: Nora's grandfather

Jaune: She has a grandpa!?...That kinda explains her attitude though- They shared a laugh and entered the Dining Hall

Grimm: Y/N quick! come here!- The young man rushed towards him, not risking to make him angry

Grimm: Which one of this people is she?- Jaune then caught up to them, tiredly and pointed at the front

Jaune: That one, with orange hair

At the end of the dining hall, at their usual spot were Pyrrha and Nora, who were having a nice meal

He smiled and then tapped Nora slightly on the shoulder, making her turn around

Nora: Oh, hi Y/N! Hi, Jaune! Hi, weird big guy!...Wait, strange and big guy?

Jaune: N-Nora, there's someone who wants to meet you

Nora: Really? Who? Where? Why?- She was excitedly looking around, only for Y/N to facepalm

Y/N: Him- He signaled Grimm, who stepped up and stared at her

Grimm: By the gods, she is really like my daughter- His tone was now quiet, as he just kept looking at her, earning a small laugh from her

Nora: What's his deal? New character problems, am I right?- She chuckled at her own joke

The young man looked at his friend, with concern in his eyes

Y/N: Do you tell her or I do?

Jaune: I think I should do it, I'm her leader after all

Y/N: Go ahead- He nodded and put a hand on the girl's shoulder

Jaune: *ahem* Nora, this man is...he...

Nora: Come on! Cut the suspense Jaune!- Her energetic tone didn't seem to die off by anything

Jaune: He...

He is your grandfather

Suddenly, her attitude suffered a change, she was not smiling anymore, she tried to laugh again and punched Jaune in the shoulder, taking it as a joke

Nora: C-Come on guys, that's not funny!

Grimm then stepped up- They are not lying, Nora

Her attention was then directed towards the man in front of her, with surprise more noticeable by the minute

Grimm: I am Grimm Valkyrie, an experienced Huntsman that fought in the great war and I had a daughter, you might have known her as your mother- He took out a photograph that he usually carried around. It showed his family, effectively confirming the rumor

The orange-haired girl looked down at the ground, saddened. Not Pyrrha, Jaune or even Y/N himself knew what to do about it

Grimm: I am sorry about what you had to experience when I was gone, child- He embraced Nora in a hug, while she began to cry

Grimm: Shh...I am here now

Nora:...B-But you w-weren't THERE!!

She raised her arm and actually threw a punch at the Huntsman, releasing her from his embrace and ran away

Y/N: Nora, wait!- He ran after him, with the old man following

Nora: Leave me alone, Y/N!

Y/N: Nora listen to me!- He grabbed her hand, forcing her to face him

Nora: Why did you bring him here!?

Y/N: You have to listen what does he have to say!

Nora: Why!?

Y/N: Because he is the last family member you have!...And I know very well how does that feel, believe me, the last thing you want to do is to push him away!

She remained silent after hearing that with a sad expression on her before hugging Y/N as tight as she could

...If you listen closely, you can hear some bones break slightly

Ignoring the pain, Y/N just hugged back his friend. This lasted for a solid minute, and her friends watched from the distance

Jaune: Y/N seems to handle the situation really good

Pyrrha: Well...I heard that it takes a broken person to help another one.

Jaune: Woah...

Nora broke the hug and then smiled at her friend while wiping her tears

Nora: I...I think I'll listen to you, Thank you Y/N- Seeing her return to her normal state made a smile appear on Y/N's face

Y/N: No problem- He then turned his gaze towards the Huntsman- I'll leave you two to catch up, see you later Nora

She waved goodbye as he began to walk away, only to be stopped by Grimm himself

Grimm: Thank you, child

He nodded with a smirk and returned to his walk towards his friends, meeting them at the dining hall but this time Ren and T/N joined in. They had a nice meal together and actually had a good time, relaxing a little Y/N's mind

After they left, only Moss, Jaune and Ren remained with the young man.

Y/N: By the way guys, have you seen team RWBY?

Ren: They seem to be busy at the moment

Y/N (In mind): Oh, so it is better to leave them alone, then

Y/N: Oh boy, the day has just been draining me!! Thank Oum now I'm free

The others looked at each other and then looked at the young man with the sternest look mankind has ever known

Moss: So...

Ren: ...Does that mean...

Jaune: ...That our plan is still standing?

They seemed to be pretty coordinated when asked that, weird

Y/N: I don't know guys, I've been charged with a lot of responsibilities lately, I mean, I know I'm free, but I still have to be ready for anything Ozpin throws at me...

Jaune/Moss/Ren: Oh...-They sounded a little saddened by this, making the young man reconsider his opinion

Y/N: But...I think a little fun doesn't harm- He smiled at them kindly, lighting them up

Jaune: So it's on?

Y/N: Oh, you bet it is!!- He said slamming his fist on the table while pointing at him

Moss: HECK YEAH, THE BROS ASSEMBLE ONE MORE TIME BABY!!- They cheered and fist-bumped with an almost cartoonish energy

Elise: ...Seriously, guys?- Everybody's expression turned into a blank stare, it looked like if they just saw a ghost. It seems their plan was heard

Moss: Crap

Y/N: Oh h-hi Elise!

Ren: How long have you been there?

Elise: Long enough to hear you, so, what is your evil scheme tonight?

Jaune: Wait, evil?

Y/N: *sigh* We go out to Vale, to the arcade, play Remnant: The game and sometimes even go to a fight club kind of place or something

The guys had shocked expressions on their faces when they heard Y/N explaining it to her

Moss: D-Did you just-

Y/N: Don't worry guys, she can be trusted, right?- He put a hand on her shoulder, surprising her

Elise: I didn't really think you guys as somebody who would do something like that

Jaune: It's fun to watch!- Ren nodded in agreement with him

Moss: And sometimes Y/N himself gets in and kicks some ass!

Elise: Oh really?- The male chuckled in answer

Y/N: Come on guys, don't exaggerate

Moss: But you do!

They laughed for a minute and then the silence began to fill the place

Elise: Mind if I go with you guys? I could use some relaxing

Moss: I-I don't know Elise...

Jaune: I guess you could...

Y/N: Wait, what did I told you about partying?

Elise: I trust you guys, and besides, I want to know if it is as exciting as you guys say- She smiled at them, causing them to look at each other and nodded

Y/N: Well, you're in, I see no problem in that and besides, it would be good for the team to spend some time together- They cheered slightly in answer and then another person came in

Vic: Hey dudes! Did you convinced Y/N to...- Suddenly, he realized the situation at hand, earning a chuckle from them

Y/N: Don't worry Vic, we are going...Oh, and Elise's tagging along too

Vic: Oh, cool- She approached the man with curiosity in her eyes

Elise: Your voice, it sounds familiar

Y/N: Because he's the pilot that was with us on almost every mission

Elise: Oh

Y/N: Alright then, let's go!

 They cheered yet again and left the dining hall, taking a ship to get to the city

Vale

They were currently at a restaurant, eating and having fun while they listened to Y/N's stories

Vic: Nah, really?

Y/N: Really!

Ren: And what happened after?

Y/N: There were we, facing off against a giant Grimm monster, unlike anything I have seen before

Elise: How did it look like?

Y/N: It looked like a big cat of some kind

Jaune: ...What, like a puma?

Y/N: Yeah, man, there you go.

Vic: And what did you do?

Y/N: Well, it took a while, but we managed to bring the whole thing down!- They all cheered for him, celebrating the young man's team victory against said creature

Ren: You sure have an eventful life, Y/N

Y/N: Heh, you could say that

Moss: Oh, it reminds me of hat night that we won that remnant game Tournament

Jaune: Or when we won that band presentation thingy

Ren: Or even that time when we saved that village from the Grimm without even using weapons

Y/N: Ahh, good times

Elise: You did that? How?

Jaune: It was a bet, whoever took down the least amount of Grimm, would have to pay the food for a week- The blonde explained, with a little sadness in his voice

Elise:...You lost, didn't you?

Jaune: S-Shut up! That Ursa was strong!- The group shared a laugh because of Jaune's embarrassment

Then, Y/N gave the blonde a pat on the back, while still laughing

Y/N: Don't worry buddy, your week is almost over!

Jaune: *Sigh* That's a relief

Elise: Huh, you guys sure spend a lot of time together

Ren: You'd be surprised- He got a giggle as an answer

Moss: Now that I think about it, what do you do at night, Elise? I mean, you barely sleep early- His question took her by surprise, and it could be seen just by looking at her

Elise: I...Ummm...

Y/N: We're waiting!

Suddenly, the waitress came in with everybody's orders, avoiding further investigation of the topic at hand

When they began to eat, the girl's phone rang and she had to go outside to answer

???: So, how did it go?

Elise: Pretty good sir, I am actually having fun! Y/N trusts me

???: Do not let yourself to be distracted by him, remember the objective!

Elise: *Sigh* Why can't we do this without any violence?

???: Are you hesitating?

Elise: Not at all sir, it's just that *Sigh* I wish there was another way

???: I understand your feeling, Elise, but remember what we do is for the greater good

Elise: Right, returning to the mission

She finished the call and sighed yet again, looking at the place, the guys were having fun together.

Elise (In mind): For the greater good...

She entered the restaurant and they finished eating and soon enough left the restaurant, all of them with a smile or a smirk on their faces, except for her.

Y/N: Hey Elise, something wrong?- It seemed that his voice interrupted her previous thoughts

Elise: Wha-Oh, no, why do you ask?

Y/N: Well, you don't seem like you had fun with us

Elise: Oh, don't get me wrong, It was fun, but I just thought you guys would do more tonight- She lied

Y/N: Well then, what do you suggest we do?

Moss: Boss, I don't think that's a good idea, she'll take us to someplace boring and-

Elise: What about that fighting club you said earlier

The guys remained silent for a moment and then looked at her, nodding

Y/N: Why not?

Ren: It has been a while

Elise: It is settled, then

They made their way down the streets of Vale and eventually made it to a small place in the middle of an alley, with only a metal door visible

Elise: Is this it?- She asked, inspecting at the place's presentation

Y/N: Indeed- He knocked at the door with a specific pattern and waited for an answer

Jaune: You'll like it here! The people are nice 

Elise: Are they?- She directed her gaze at the boy, with a distrustful look

Ren nodded as an answer- It is a surprise, but they are

Suddenly, a massive man opened the door and looked at them with a death stare briefly

Clay: Guys! So nice to see you again, and I see you brought a friend, come in!- Even if the man's voice was deep, he did sound very friendly

Once they entered, the girl looked around to see a big place, with a boxing ring in the middle and a couple spaces for people to train hand to hand combat. The place was indeed more than what it looked like from the outside

Clay: By the way, I am Clay. A pleasure to meet you, young lady- He lend a hand for her to shake and she did with a smile

Elise: Elise, the pleasure is mine- The man smiled at her cordiality and left them alone

She was looking at the place, inspecting it

Moss: Whaddya think, pretty cool right?

Elise: Well, it is bigger than I thought it would be

???: Y/N L/N, it has been a while

They directed their attention towards a girl with a dark complexion, platinum blonde hair, and olive green eyes.

She wore a yellow robe with only one wide, loose-fitting sleeve over a black tube top. She also has black pants and

She had bandages on her legs and arms, as well as a red necklace and what appears to be two matching red sticks on the back left side of her head.

Y/N smirked when he saw her and they greeted each other with an arm wrestle handshake.

Y/N: Arslan Altan, good to see you- She smirked with a nod and then proceeded to greet the rest of the guys

Arslan: Oh, I see you brought another person this time, my name is Arslan Altan, greetings- She bowed respectfully as a greeting

Elise: Elise Davenport, a pleasure- She returned the gesture bowing as well

Arslan: Practicing for the Tournament?

Jaune: Actually, we're just here to hang around

Arslan: Really?

Moss: It was her idea- He pointed at his teammate, gaining a surprised look from Arslan

Arslan: Really? Interesting

Elise: Bu, maybe we can take on a few challenges- The group looked at her, with surprised looks as well

Elise: what? You said this was a fight club

Arslan: And you're right

Elise: Then, let's honor its name

Arslan smirked as response- I like your attitude, I propose you something

Elise: I'm listening

Arslan: If I manage to beat you, you'll pay for everybody's drinks here but, if YOU win you can...

Elise: With knowing that I beat you is enough for me

Arslan: Really? I mean! Okay then

Suddenly, a few people walked towards them and stood beside the blonde girl

???: If you are going after her, then you'll have to get past me

???: And me

???: And me!

A lot of people began to appear on  her side, ready for the challenge, Arslan was about to say something but was interrupted by the brunette

Elise: Fair enough- Her response shocked them all, she didn't hesitate at all

Then, Y/N stepped forward, standing beside her and touching her shoulder

Y/N: I don't know what has gotten into you Elise, but you aren't going to have all the fun by yourself, are you?- He showed her a confident smile, amazing her since she didn't think any of the guys would join her

Ren: Then I'll step forward too

Moss: Yeah, me too!

Jaune: Oh boy, w-what did we just got into...

Arslan grinned at their behavior

Arslan: Such teamwork, that's what I like about you guys. So be it, ready when you are

They nodded and adopted a battle stance, so did their opponents. Ready for the big fight that was about to take place.

Jaune: Uhh...g-guys? I hate to be that guy but...They outnumber us

Moss: Oh come on Jaune, have some faith in your friends!

Ren: They may be more, but they do not out skill us

Elise: Ren is right, quantity is not equal to quality, Jaune

Y/N: And besides, we already know how to work as a team, so let´s show them what are we made of, shall we?

"Oh boy, this is gonna be fun"
